POLICIES

Below is a list of services that apply to all beauty services offered. Please read over and familiarize yourself with the studio policies.

POLICY ACKNOWLEDGEMENT: Completion of invoice/invoice deposit is verification that the client has familiarized themselves with the below policies.

 

DEPOSITS/PAYMENTS: To secure a date, a signed bridal contract and 20% deposit are required. For non bridal bookings, 30% deposit is required to book. This deposit is non-refundable. This deposit will be put toward the client’s total balance. For wedding bookings, the remaining balance will be due 7 days before the wedding. For non wedding bookings, the remaining balance is due upon completion of our appointment. Accepted forms of payment include: all major credit and debit cards via square invoice. Gratuity is never expected but always appreciated. Deposits are non-refundable.

 

CONSULTATIONS: Consultations are available for brides, and are done in Beauty by Jahara Jennae’s studio in downtown Richmond, VA or in Alexandria, VA

 

DELAYS: Non bridal bookings are subject to cancellation after 15 minutes. (unless otherwise discussed by artist and client) For wedding bookings, a late fee of $30.00 will be charged for every 30 minutes of delay when a client is late for the scheduled time, or if the scheduled hair and/or makeup application exceeds the allotted time due to client delays. Due to additional scheduling, it is up to Beauty by Jahara Jennae's discretion on whether to service past the agreed upon end time, due to client tardiness.

SERVICE TIMING: Appointments are scheduled based on the number of contracted services. If the client is late, there is no guarantee that all services can be performed. No refunds will be issued for incomplete services due to client tardiness. 

 

PARKING FEES: Any parking or valet fees incurred on the event day, must be covered by the client and paid prior to artist’s departure.

TRAVEL FEES: Applicable travel fees will be discussed and reflected on the client’s invoice. These fees apply to both pre-event and day of appointments. If no travel fee applies, they will not appear on the invoice.

 

 LIABILITY: All brushes, tools, and makeup products are sanitized between every makeup application. Makeup products used are hypoallergenic. Any allergies and/or skin conditions should be reported by the client to the makeup artist prior to application and, if need be, a sample test of makeup may be performed on the skin to test reaction. Hair products are safe and not damaging to the client’s hair. Client(s) agree to release the makeup artist (Jahara Jennaé) from liability for any skin complications due to allergic reactions. If the client has allergies, the client will let the artist know before services are rendered.

 

PAYMENT: The person(s) responsible for the entire balance of payment is the person(s) whose name(s) appear on the invoice. 

 

CANCELLATION POLICY: For wedding services, cancellations must be made sixty days(60)  prior to the client’s reserved date or the client will be responsible for paying the full amount of services agreed upon in this contract. Non wedding bookings have until 72hrs before the scheduled appointment time. Deposits are non refundable. If something interrupts/disrupts the artists ability to perform quality services to a professional standard (significant power outage, flood, fire, acts of God, etc.) the artist serves the right to discontinue services. Refunds of any services not completed due to these circumstances are up to the artist's discretion.

ADD ON/REMOVAL: If you need to add on or remove anyone from your wedding booking, the cutoff date is 60 days before the wedding. You may add or remove persons from your booking up until that cutoff date. If you remove anyone before your cutoff date, their service fees are also removed from your invoice.
